Plagiarism Policy

ResearchGet Journal of Islamic Religious Studies is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all manuscripts published in the journal. Plagiarism in any form is considered a serious violation of publication ethics and will not be tolerated.

All authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are required to ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplication, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the act of using another person’s words, ideas, data, arguments, concepts, findings, or creative works without proper acknowledgment. Plagiarism may occur intentionally or unintentionally, and both forms are considered unacceptable in scholarly publication.

Forms of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:

  • Copying text, sentences, paragraphs, or entire sections from other sources without proper citation.
  • Paraphrasing ideas or arguments from other works without acknowledging the original source.
  • Using data, tables, figures, images, or research findings from other sources without proper attribution or permission.
  • Submitting another person’s work as one’s own.
  • Reusing substantial parts of the author’s own previously published work without proper citation, also known as self-plagiarism.
  • Submitting a manuscript that has been published or is under consideration by another journal or publisher.

Originality Requirement

Manuscripts submitted to ResearchGet Journal of Islamic Religious Studies must be original works that have not been previously published and are not currently under review by another journal. Authors must properly cite all sources used in the manuscript, including books, journal articles, reports, websites, manuscripts, translations, and other academic materials.

Similarity Check

The journal may conduct a similarity check on submitted manuscripts using plagiarism detection software or other available tools. The similarity result will be considered by the editorial team as part of the initial screening and publication decision process.

Manuscripts with a high similarity score, improper citation, or indications of plagiarism may be returned to the authors for revision, rejected, or subjected to further editorial investigation.

Acceptable Similarity Level

The acceptable similarity level is determined by the editorial team based on the nature of the manuscript, the quality of citation, and the distribution of similarity sources. Similarity caused by references, quotations, common academic terms, institutional names, or properly cited materials may be evaluated separately.

Authors are expected to keep the similarity level as low as possible and ensure that all quoted or paraphrased materials are properly cited according to the journal’s referencing style.

Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must submit only original manuscripts that are free from plagiarism and academic misconduct.
  • Authors must properly cite and acknowledge all sources, ideas, data, and materials used in the manuscript.
  • Authors must ensure that direct quotations are clearly indicated and accompanied by appropriate references.
  • Authors must avoid excessive quotation or dependence on previously published works.
  • Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
  • Authors must disclose if parts of the manuscript have been presented, published, or archived elsewhere.

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism or excessive similarity is detected, the editorial team may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Return the manuscript to the author for correction and proper citation.
  • Request revision and resubmission of the manuscript.
  • Reject the manuscript before or after the peer review process.
  • Withdraw the manuscript from the publication process.
  • Retract the article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.
  • Notify the author’s institution or relevant authority in cases of serious misconduct.
  • Restrict authors involved in serious plagiarism from submitting manuscripts to the journal in the future.

Plagiarism After Publication

If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, the editorial team will investigate the case carefully. When plagiarism or serious ethical misconduct is confirmed, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice according to the severity of the case.

Commitment to Academic Integrity

Through this plagiarism policy, ResearchGet Journal of Islamic Religious Studies seeks to promote honesty, originality, accountability, and responsible scholarly communication in the field of Islamic religious studies.
